HOMEWORK:  Do a practice GHSGT and redo missed questions.

  • Colwellium = 0.108  æ/€
  • Taylorium = 0.0871 æ/€
  • Morganium – 0.677 æ/¤
  • Richium = 0.235 æ/¤
  • Twarogium = 0.131 æ/¤
  • Fresium = 0.0355 æ/¤
  • Ocean fluid = 0.120 æ/¤

After going over the lab and sorting out last minute questions, we did the chapter 2 diagnostic test on Apex.  This generated individual learning plans for each student.  Students finished the block by working on the first lesson in their learning plan.

Then we quickly reviewed the homework and reading assignment from the weekend over units and measurements.  Then we started our lesson on Dimensional Analysis and the 5-step problem solving method.  Students made notecards to remind themselves of the steps.

Homework:  Read the textbook chapter 2 section 1 and do the corresponding Science Notebook pages.  Come to class with any questions you have as we will be moving on to the next topic.

Homework:  Do a reflection over section 1.1.  Reflections need to be at least 3/4 page and include:

  • Today’s date
  • The standards covered in this lesson (use the GPS standards guided given to you in class)
  • EXPLAIN what you learned
  • indicate anything that you still do not quite understand.
